Dwarf in the box 50%
I had almost written of his team, mostley due that they dont fit my playstyle at all and that in reaching my first goal by playing 100 games with them, seamed like mission impossible. I had played 48 games and then it opened up something called Blackbox minors. It had a TW barrier at 1480 and i was almost up to 1700 but it seamed fittingly so lets play, and get rid of some useless linemen.
Game 49 Went quite well, even if I didnt play too good. Mostley because of the beer and the fact that I have pulled one tooth a fewhours earlier. But nuffle decided to give me the victory but the beer got the best of me and I could not understand how to get the team down top 1480 so, I dropped way to low.
Ok! Easiley fixed, one more game.....But, I still didnt get up to where I wanted to be and basicly I got my as kicked bigtime by a "rookie". To be frank, I didnt give much time to the game but still, he/she would have won hands down anyhow.
Ok, nevermind! In order to get back into the mix I have to get the team back u pand running again, and how to do that? Play Another game :)
And no, Dwarfs aint my style but I like to play them after a "few" beers cause I dont have to mind the detail called armour ;)

Not that I understand the rule anymore (it's lost its original meaning). But playing with 9 and having 520k in the bank is against site rules. I do get the feeling that policy has changed on the issue though.

According to the blog, it's a bit confusing yes, he was trying to get his team down to be able to play in the blackbox minor so firing those players was likely what he thought would get him under the TW restriction I'm guessing? Now that doesn't provide a reason for having 2 JM + 520k bank, but he's averaging 38 matches a year too so...fill in the blanks.

If I had two +ST dwarves, I would have skipped the Minor if it meant firing them. But each to their own. :-)

Yep, I did fire them cause I did wanna get the team back to basic, no favors. And yes, I will get rid of the löners Before I apply, I just havent had the time :)

Btw, your team was un-readied by an admin so you could hire/purchase two more linedorfs, not so you could just ready them again and play on with two loners.

No, the team was unready after my last match cause I knew I should play (atleast) one more match but had not decided what to do Before the match.
Why is it insane? Becasue I dont build this team "the right way"? I have this team to trying to learn positioning and with a lot of +ST I get myself some extra help and thats what I try to avoid. No favours, just pure basic.

Fair enough, I understand that reasoning. Still, I'd rather have created a second dwarf team than firing those players. You obviously are interested in playing tournaments - and there, some extra bonuses are just what you need!

I understand your concerns but my first "goal" with this team is play a 100 games with a team that really needs positioning first and foremost. (could have used khemri also but.....)
Now, Im pretty much halfway and I needed some goals to keep it interresting and why not the box tournament? Thats why I decided to slender down a bit and also the +ST.
