Tactics and strategy or chit and chat?
I like forums... They give me perspective and once in a rare while teach me stuff I didn't know or maybe convince me stuff I intentionally omitted knowing.
But tactics and strategy here just seems plain boring. And it has such promising potential.
Noone wants to know if you just got your 6th skillchoice. And they certainly do not care enough to discuss the choice for days on end. If you have a player that experienced you should really have read the rules and know the choice beforehand. Blood Bowl basics (like skillchoices and teamcomposition as opposed to advanced plays and statistics and probability) isn't exactly brainsurgery.
I'd be more interested in hearing breakdowns of strategies for different teams on different strengths and rating. Or ideas for trick plays. Maybe someone is working on a special team and need input? Maybe someone actually has a team with a special team as per the football definition.
Maybe instead of just complaining I should just go and start those threads.

I like skill choice threads, so long as they're not the "My rookie chaos warrior just rolled 6+6, should I take claw or +STR?" that shows up far too often. I thought my question was reasonable.

I've read the rules and, back when I played the boardgame, thought I knew about choosing skill. When I came to this place, I learned that I did not. I'll keep starting those "Which skill to take for my lineelf" threads until I can answer those questions myself. But I really would enjoy reading some other, more advanced threads, although I could not contribute to them yet.

I find it a bit insolent when a rookie coach, who has not even played 50 games, tells us what everyone else wants to know or not.
Apart from that, you're dead wrong with your assumptions, people obviously cared enough to discuss the choice for days, and it was far from trivial anyway.

Stating your opinion on a subject and trying either to cover the academic basics or move peoples assumptions?

A statement, which, in my humble opinion, proves once more, that you have no idea what you are talking about.
Again: 6th skill choice for that saurus has been far from trivial and highly interesting on top of that.
