TV too low
Hi coach,

I see that you have applied a team to the 145 league, but they will struggle to get games since they have a low Team value (TV). we have a maximum TV gap of 200 for games in the 145 to help avoid unfair matches and as a result not many coach will have teams that low. I haven't accepted them in the league at the moment because of this.

you can either build the team up to a bigger TV, or you can make an apply a new team in the same way you have with this one.

Low TV snotlings are not something that we are that keen on in the 145, since they have been used as a way of getting powerful star players, and that's not really what the 145 is about.

The Spectacular Sprint of Slaughter is DONE!

Gratz to Leolus's Bael Garr Anvils for winning the league! Also to Angusosborne's Moera Kiore and Angstboy23's Silver Screamers for also making the top three.

The new league The Gathering Storm is already under way.

Get your teams signed up! Only teams with TV 1100 or lower will be accepted for the league.
Larger teams may stick around and play but won't get points. They could move on to e.g. IoMT Next Gen (Scheduled league),
The new Chillax Zone (open play/sprint), Secret League 2020 (Open play/tournaments/sprint).

You may be approaching graduation. If you think you are, check with the admins in discord.

On FUMBBL we have a place where new players to Blood Bowl, or just to FUMBBL, can get some help, advice and an environment of learning and positivity, while playing other similar newer coaches. Even if they just want to meet other coaches, chat and 'get comfy' on FUMBBL, the 145 is the place.

And we can help, we have experienced coaches, as well as other new coaches, there specifically to answer your questions, offer feedback and replay reviews, skill picks, you name it, there is no such thing as a bad question in the 145. (This isn't the place for experienced coaches to hunt rookies/easy games though. It's a space for newer folks to get comfortable with Blood Bowl and FUMBBL.)

We also run a 'season', a open round robin where each coach can play any of up to 39 other coaches once, at any time. For fun, for practice, and to learn. it takes place in 'L' division, and teams can be made using the link on our home page here: https://fumbbl.com/p/group&group=3180&op=view

And we'll be starting a new season/tournament on Tuesday 1st August.

Teams joining must have a TV of 1100 or lower.

This is the Gathering Storm! Play eight games with that roster during the season, and earn your 'Gathering Storm' award! (And really... that award and the opportunity to learn some stuff are the only awards we're handing out.)

Help them learn to play Blood Bowl.
Help them learn to play on FUMBBL.
Help them gain confidence and launch into the wider site, game and hobby.

Even if that means answering questions like 'is block a good skill then?'

For anyone joining us for the first time Welcome aboard, we hope you have fun.
For folks who have played a season or more already, nice to have you back.
Play at your leisure, have fun and help each other out.

For everyone, razmus has put together some answers to common questions, but since you're already at this point... you already know the answers to several of them :).

But as a reminder, 145 Club is a learning environment, as such, we NEVER time folks out in the 145. If someone is playing terribly slowly, we can talk about it, but learning the client and learnign Blood Bowl is much more important than playing fast.

If you get badly beaten up in a game and have a lot of damaged players speak to the @admin team and see what they can do, they have been known to wheel out the magic sponge in bad cases.

Normally, a tournament has a prize for the winner, but the goal of the 145 Club isn't necessarily winning all the games... it's learning and playing Blood Bowl. With that in mind, any team who plays plays at least eight (8) games earns the right to display the sprint of slaughter badge. Which they can display on their team bio, if they like. To display the badge, just include the code:

somewhere in your team's bio page will add the image, which will also be a link back to past tornaments. Don't display it though, until you've played your eight games.

This thread will ALSO serve as a way of scheduling games! You can reply here and let your fellow coaches know when you can play/when you'd want to play, and you can coordinate your games. Discord is also a good option for that, but not everyone will necessarily be on Discord. And of course questions... questions here as well.

The league ONLY considers games played by teams that are signed up at the [SL]2020 Home Group.

Any games that your team plays during the season are considered. Open, Gamefinder, league & tournament.

Results are taken from a team's best 'sprint' of 8 consecutive games.
Two coaches should not play against each other more than TWICE in the same season.

Teams may play in other events such as the Old Word Rookie Rumble or the Old World Brawls during the sprint. Games in other events will count towards your Sprint.

Points awarded per game are as follows.
Win = 4pts, draw = 2, loss = 1.

A team must play 8 games to have a chance at getting maximum points. There is no penalty for playing more than 8. Your best 8 consecutive game sprint is what counts.

Teams may use Gamefinder to find matches. You can also challenge Sprint teams via [SL] Discord. Teams may play against non Sprint teams but playing a very weak schedule to boost your team could get it banned.

New(ish) to blood bowl? Looking to improve?

145 Club is intended as a safe space for less experienced coaches to get comfortable with the game and client without feeling farmed for easy wins. It's a place for coaches to develop knowledge and skills to fully enjoy Blood Bowl on FUMBBL.

So. What's going on in the 145 Club?

• 
  We're experimenting with moving away from the Open Round Robin tournaments. The current League tournaments are sprints, which allow a coach/team to jump right into the action immediately. The current sprint is the "Spectacular Soltice Sprint of Slaughter". Create a team, and jump right into the action. Click the big red 'League' button above to get started.
  Easy To Play: recommended for everyone, especially those getting started with Blood Bowl.

  Do you have a 145 League and Tournament team already, and want to experience the excitement of a knockout tournament? The 145 KO Cup is intended to give coaches the opportunity to schedule games against other coaches and play to win it all! New tournaments start as quickly as enough teams register to play.   Moderate To Play: deadlines and scheduling apply!! recommended for those with some experience.

But, for folks who are more experienced coach and want to help newer coaches learn Blood Bowl/FUMBBL, remember that the 145 Club is intended as a safe space for less experienced coaches to get comfortable with the game and the client. To support that goal, a few suggestions to help out:

• Join the 145 Discord, and give advice on strategy, team building/selection, skill selection, offensive/defensive setups, provide match reviews.
  
• If you choose to play in 145 you should use an all lineman team and generally NOT take inducements.
  
• Contact @Admin on the 145 Discord to discuss additional avenues to help.

Excessive concession reminder:

Just as a heads up in case you hadn't seen it in the FUMBBL Rules, concessions aren't permitted unless there is merit for them. You've appear to have had quite a few, and I just wanted to make certain you knew it was an issue.

(And to be fair, I'm mostly focused on the concessions in the Competitive division. Individual leagues/groups will have different rules concerning concessions, but even there, most of them frown upon them.)
