When the necromancers leave for the Big Tournaments with the Real Players, the leftover get tossed in a suitable dungeon, crypt or graveyard and the acolytes are left behind to keep an eye on things...
Needless to say, there's really only one thing the acolytes can think of to do to pass the time until The Boss returns.
