FUMBBL CUP IV Semi Final!

Luck readings are out due to one server crash. Because of this, the replay starts from turn 5 when the Falcons were up 1-0.

Luck was with the Falcons at the start of the match when all three of their nigglers (all Legends) turned up to the match and the Power's single niggler pulled up sore! With such an important game being played, the Power used their match allotment of magic sponges immediately and brought their Tree to the game.

The Falcons received the kick off, but found themselves on the receiving end of a blitz!!!

For some reason, the Power kicked to the side where the Falcons had two sidestepping diving tackers, and they were part of the defensive wall in front of the ball. The Power sent players forward at the ball, but a Wardancer failed a dodge and the Falcons had a chance to recover.

The Falcons recovered the ball and sent some players forward, but found themselves in an awkward position when their Witch Elf knocked herself over blocking a weaker Power player (early my turn 1, I get Skull/Pow and Skull vs his player, I reroll and got double Skulls LOL).

The Power moved players fouled the downed Witch and knocked her out and applied the defensive pressure (two players put tackle zones on my Thrower).

The Falcons responded by sending the ball downfield to a small cage on the right sideline. They fouled back against a prone Power Wardancer and (I think) knocked him out.

The Power retreated and sent all their players into the Falcons half, hoping they would score the easy TD and have a chance to get a quick reply.

With no pressure on them, the Falcons delayed scoring and sent their players after the Power to try and reduce their numbers. The Power changed strategy and decided to apply pressure on the Falcons ball carrier after all.

Eventually, the Falcons scored with only 8 Power players on the ptich. Unfortunately for the Power, all 3 knocked out players remained unconcious for their drive leaving them with only 9 players!

However, this didn't matter as a pitch invasion opened up the pitch enough for the Power that they had an easy path for their AG5 Dauntless MA10 Blodge Sprint Catcher to attempt a one turner.

The Catcher tripped one short of the end zone and the ball spilt free into the corner out of the Falcon's reach! The Falcons sent a Diving Tackle Str 4 Wtich next to the ball and the downed Catcher, and their freebooted Hurkon knocked out a Wardancer with his poisoned blade.

This is where the replay starts from (or thereabouts).

The Power fouled one of the Falcons players that was stunned from the pitch invasion and badly hurt him, ending his match. Then their one turner made her dodge (needing 4+) and pickup (2+) to even the score.

The Power lined up on defence and put their Dirty Player on the line of scrimmage. The Falcons did not need a second invitatation and promptly knocked him over and ended his match with a boot to the head (Badly Hurt). Soon after, the Falcons scored to take a 2-1 lead with 2 turns left in the first half for the Power to tie up the score

The Power scored a quick one turn reply to tie the game up 2-0.

The Falcons lined up to try a chain push one turn TD (needing four pushes) but got pows on the first block. The sleepy head coach then rerolled a Skull/Pow Skull on the Power Tree who did not have block!!! A fitting display of poor play, matched by PMG's hangover lol.

Second half the Falcons kicked, but blitzed and stole the ball, injuring a Power Catcher, and knocking out the drugged Wardancer on their way to a 3-2 lead.

The Power lined up in offence with 9 players, only to have the Falcons blitz them again and steal the ball.

Facing a 2 TD deficit, they decided to concede there and then with 6 turns left in the game.
------------------------
This was actually a very close game undone by some lucky rolls in my favour.

Despite being players down, the Power were a scoring threat with their AG5 Dauntless one turner, and I could only field 11 of my 12 players anyway due to Greatest (so unless my legend Witch went out, I could not field my super Thrower Valdrek and vice versa).

The Blitz in the second half gave me an advantage, but it still looked like an overtime game as I was not getting any hits on his one turner and the Power would keep replying to my scores.

The second Blitz gave me a huge advantage as I was looking sure to take a 2 TD lead.

My opponent thought it was beyond his ability to draw in the remaining 6 turns and decided to concede and go out for dinner instead!

I like PMG as a coach, and I was a bit surprised because whilst I had a player advantage as well as the lead, I didn't feel I would stop him scoring with his AG5 player. I guess he felt much less confident about his prospects than I did.

He did tell me before hand that he was going to retire the team if he didn't win as he has a new Woodie team, so he didn't care about all the good players leaving.

Anyways, I wish him the best with his new team.

Onto the final!
