Ever so slightly robbed.

First of all he was rather fortunate to score the first half in my not-so-humble opinion.

Then the second my gutter wants do dodge away for a 2d blitz on his ballcarrier.

snakes. (snif)

A few more (1d though) blocks/blitzes on his ballcarrier in that 2nd half all failed but at least I could stop him from scoring I suppose. :/

Frustrating for me. Well played by opponent.

Rematch any day.

edit after lengthy post from opponent.

Note the 'ever so slightly' before 'robbed'. ;-)
I did not forget the good bits. Just did not highlight em as eloquent as you did. :D

Having read Jinx's match report I would agree with some points... but it's funny how two people can remember different things about a match afterwards.

I remember being frustrated by throwing sooooo many blocks <starts counting> ... in fact 67 blocks, and only getting 1 casualty through that tough av7 armour!!

1st half I made a mistake by leaving too much of the field open for the gutters to run into easily... Even though I knocked out the ag5 gutter, I should have done better in defence but double one'd on a gfi blitz, which allowed the skaven to choose who to score with by turn 3.

Turn 3 onwards I received and started my drive, but achieved nothing much more initially than pushbacks, which allowed the skaven to tighten up their defence, and foul off BH a tackle beastman, which was strategically vital to taking out gutters!

I made slow progress up the field, with Jinx -2d blocking and pushing my beast, but I finally got by beastman clear ready to score in turn 7, but some deft doging and 1d splatting of the ball carrier left the ball teasingly close. Fortunately I had the personnel nearby to free u pmy surehands BM and get an equaliser.

So far I had been less lucky on rolls than Jinx, but this was to change 2nd half.

The ball was kicked into a square near the crowd, and I just managed to get 2 BM to it, and picked it up, but they were exposed, as the rest of the team were holding the line.. . however, the skaven splatted their way through me, and the gutters game round the side, and the ag5 leapt and dodged through the middle to apply more pressure on my ball carrier. But then things changed as the gutter failed a 2+ dodge, giving me time to get the ball secure. I then started to drive up field without any boring cages (in fact no cages all game!). But again the skaven 1dice blitzed my ball carrier successfully, and they looked certain to counter. But somehow I managed to blitz back in return... and a rotter ended up catching the ball... this meant that I was unlikely to score, but also unlikely to lose... although a 1d block on him resulted in a pushback.

I made my way up field, with some blocks, and eventually the rotter broke free, defended by the Beast... but again the ag5 gutter, and his fellow gutters proved to be agile defenders... but another blitz on the ball carrier again resulted in a pushback. By turn 7 the rotter looked almost certain to score, but the str3 gutter dodged and gfi to cover him and the ag5 was knocked clear of the reaches of the Beast, and provided additional cover.

It just needed a splat on 2 dice and 2 gfis to score. Unfortunately I got pushback which in hindsight i should have taken then rerolled the dodge, but I didn't. I rerolled the blitz and got another pushback, and then failed the dodge.

So there was mixed luck in there... not all one sided as Jinx cares to remember... but I'm sure we will meet again! :-) Thanks for the game!
