#8 Paul Simon – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#8 Paul Simon – Smashed Knee (NI)
The rain poured down all evening as these two sides lined up. The Count had wrapped his cloak around him, glancing miserably up at the weather, and then back at the muddy pitch... This was going to be messy.

Fortunately, coach Wotfudboy was unphased by the appearance of the count on the other side. He had faith in his varied team of undead as opposed to the hordes of zombies that his team faced.

From my perspective, the game got of to a bad start with Ebenezer receiving, and the kick was sliced into the crowd... The ball was retrieved and given to the Count. A number of turns went by as the two teams laid into each other, but then disaster struck for Ebenezer as the Count failed a dodge and spilled the ball loose, landing neatly behind my defence. However, it proved difficult to get a clear opening in the zombie line, with the Count waiting to blitz the carrier, until desperation ensued, and Steve Tyler made a hell of a pass to Paul McCartney who thankfully snatched the rain drenched ball out of the air, and legged it into the end zone for a TD... 1-0.

With the the undead singers receiving 2nd half it would take a bit of luck to get the ball to equalise, but again coach Wotfudboy knew how dangerous the Count could be... and despite looking for a way through the zombies once again it was proving difficult... and the Count showed what he could do as he dodged several times, gfi to blitz the ghoul carrying the ball... and on a reroll managed to splat him down. Some frantic counterattacking by Wotfudboy barking orders from the sideline enabled his undead to regain the ball from the Count, and eventually run in to make it 2-0.

With one turn left to play, Ebenezer knew the game was up. The crowd went home satisified with the game, and the coaches put their teams back in the local cemetary to play another day!

Thanks for the game Ebenezer... had you made the dodge the game would have been much closer.. Good Luck in the rest of the table!
