“The skaven players gave up partway through the second half, as player error on the part of gutter runners and sromvermin caused any potentially match-saving plays to fail. The match started poorly for the Lions. The Rats got the ref, and wasted no time in using the advantage to rid themselves of a blitzer, before a gutter runner ran in for an easy TD. As the Lions recieved they ground the ball upfield, taking a few rats off the field as they made ground but failing to cause any real damage. A gap appeared around the ball carrier and before they knew it a gutterwas inside and sacked the thrower, the ball bouncing to a linerat. The Lions scrapped to get the ball again, but just as a blitzer broke free the covering defence caught up and a gutter runner got their paws on the ball with little time left. A lucky blitz and pickup recovered the ball as a gutter runner injured himself sprinting to get in position, and a last second score salvaged a draw at half-time, the scoreline not doing justice to a valiant skaven defence.

Within moments of halftime the ratmen were reduced to 5 rats as their line of scrimmage caved in and a sneaky foul further reduced their numbers. The ratmen weren't done and still managed to get to the ball carrier, and only a failed dodge stopped the ever dangerous Puff Ratty from sprinting away for potentially a winning score. But the rat slipped, and from that moment on not a single thing went right for the ratmen as the players messed up even the most basic of blocks to allow the Lions in for a third.”
