Episode 15 - Ref goes on vacation

While Fifi was doing... well... you know, against a giant tree. The tree wacked him to the ground. Le Fifi grawled in anger.
Suddenly a bunch of treehugging woodies arive on the scene, looking angry as ever. They challenge our zombie squad for a game, to erase the... well you know.

Our zombies excepted. Its not that you get a challenge from wood elves every day. Not with all those Dirty players / claws.

So the match was set, Lots of woodies... and a stinking tree, thx to Fifi. And limbs that shable around in search for brains.
The woodies started on the receiving end, and Our team didnt defend a bit. Why is that ? Because the ref went on vacation for the first half \o/

It started out pretty bloody, pushing a Dancer into the crowd, and seeing him getting RIPed appart by the fans.
After that the fouling, and blocking continued, but the woodies scored.

5 turns to make the TD, nothing special for wolves, so here we went.
Our fans didnt like our positioning, but we couldnt get woodies of our back either. Fouling didnt work, blocking didnt really pay off. Suddenly one of the treehuggers saw his chance, and made a 1 d block on a wolf, he went down instantly. The ball scattered into the right direction (1 of those lovely miracles, including the 1 d pow) and before we know it we were at the bad end of the table. End of the first half 0-2.

In the second half the ref didnt came back.
Knowing little could be done now, we decided still to continue. Our heroes received the ball, set up was pretty good, but 1 wood elf seemed to get trough the defence. 1 d pow without reroll on a blodging wolf, good scatter, and there you have it... almost 0-3. (deja vu? - sigh)
But the game wasnt over yet, we still could manage to knock the ball carier down, putting the ball in a tough spot.
Suddenly another miracle happened, a dirty little wood elf (AG3) dodged into 2 TZ's , picked up the ball, dodged out, and ran away. 0-3

At the end our heroes scored once to save there honour, but it was nothing special.

For a ref that went away the whole game, the casualtie count is pretty low. Fouling each turn with DP didnt pay off, lucky scatters/1 d pows gave the game away. Nothing to do, if the balls falls bad, woodies get it and go fast for that endzone.
