“Episode 42 - The GLT , 1st round
Its finally here, after training for 2 weeks in a graveyard nearby the chaos wastes, our team is ready for the big match.
Our first opponent was waiting, and ready for to receive our heroes. Vermins, quick but niggled.
We draw all the winds of dark magic uppon us, and poisened there water with a deadly virus, almost half the team was out before we even started. Luck was at my side.
We started in the first half on the kicking side. The vermin scored quick, but we managed to get a few of them out by eating brains.
But the rodents had some dirty tricks up there sleeves themselves. Secretly putting a bottle of smelting salts in there KO box, and growing thick skulls due to massive amounts of warp dust.
We couldnt get really near the brains, only KO'ing skavens with massive and deadly fouling techniques. But the skavens came back after each drive.
Soon in the first half the skavens fouled one of our brave pets, without assists or dp. KO , and the wolf stayed out all game.
A sneaky wizard took care of the cage that would secure the count to our first touchdown. A pow against the blodging count took away the ball from us. And the vermin used it to score 2-0.
It looked grim for our players.
When we wanted a 1 turner, we trowed 2 times double pow (lucky us).
When we wanted to pass the sun got really shiny.
When we wanted to hurt we got KO's that came back after every drive.
The rats also scoring a 1 turner because of a small mistake in our defence, left the score to 3-1.
Necros finally got to a mayor, and they were stripped of victory. I dont really think we got outclassed altough ankkh is a superb coach. I dont think we got outlucked because nothing really failed verry hard.
But the rodents were quick, and didnt miss any shots. The good KO rolls and the superb wizard gave the game away.
Good luck to you ankkh. I dont think your team stand for verry much against some of the others. But I still hope you go a long way.

I want to say sorry to Purple Chest, and Torsoboy.
I beaten them in the qualifiers, and I wanted to prove myself worty of standing in the finals.
I didnt :o(. I hope you guys are not too dissapointed. If I had won, I had dedictated this game to you guys. Now I'm a bit asshamed I took the GLT from you.
Hopefully you will play in the next mayor.

During the second turn the Runners got a clear 2d tackled block against the count that would have been followed up by a nice foul (with a +3 dodge needed) Alas, it was not to be, as the team captain Hifflitik only managed to push around the allmighty Vampire leaving the Runners in a position where they needed to score quickly. At 1-0 the situation looked satisfactory, but far from good as seemingly half (actually 4 out of 15) players were sidelined due to an unfortunate virus, including star Blitzers Sirikki of the Trippletopple line, and Herrek of the Farfire clan.
Luckily for the Adepts of the Horned Rat and the Braves of the Chaos wastes, the Runners hired Chaos wizard had been eating warpstone all evening and managed to knock down 4 out of 5 (maybe?) players surrounding the Count who held the ball. After some scrambling, and a feared 3d block against, Hrikksa - twin brother of the late and great Trikksa - Trippletopple managed a clear pow on a 2d block on the count. After a couple of turns of more fidgeting, the Runners were up 2-0 and the rest was a formality, with the Runners doing what they do best, i.e. running away and the Living Claws trying to Claw and foul their way to victory.
Alas, it was not to be, and thus the Runners go through with a convincing 3-1 win.”
