“Episode 43 - The promise
Synn, the great necromancer that was "inspired" by the famous Naama has been challeging our claws whenever we got in the GLT.
Knowing his playing style, and trying to boost the team up, not down, I promised this coach he would have a shot at our heroes when the GLT was over.
As you can see in Episode 42, it was over verry quickly, and the bunnies jumped at our wolves like hungry rodents. And hungry rodents they were.
In the first turn, our heroes kicked off and play like we always do. Plain and simple, slow and defensive. We waltzed over the bunnies getting good casualties and KO's, pitty all the regen rolls worked. The bunnies were low on players, and we got the ball, running for a fast TD.
In the next half the bunnies were back in full force, and it was time to show our own offensive style as we received the ball. This time the luck was on the bunnies hand. Lots of casualties / low regen rolls got us outnumbered fast.
A terrible and stupid mistake let a mummie run towards the ball carier, and he got a multi block on both my blodging wolves.
Getting a straight pow, and knocking both of them down (one even out).
The claws recovered the ball, but it couldnt help. Over run by the massive amount of bunnies, we lost it again. The bunnies wight run in for the TD.
This was a great game, one of the better I played since long.
If i didnt have made the defensive mistake... maybe I would have had a chance.
At least we tried to make it as tense as we could, dodging with zombies to lay tz on the other teams ball carier. Synn had to fight till the last man.
Great game for undead lovers...
And I hope that rematch will come some day :o)

Electing to receive (stupid decision with hindsight) the Bunnies wasted no time laying the first boot in only to see the Bunny kicked out of the match by the ref! Seeing a adorable little bunny punted 50 yards into the air shook the Bunny confidence and the Claws surged through their line BH'ing Joker with a boot and knocking superstar Topper out cold!
The Claws recovered the ball and waltzed into the endzone at the buzzer. 1-0 Claws!!
The shouting throng of spectators failed to wake up Topper as the Bunnies were forced to kick with only 10 bunnies on the field, and only 1 having ag 3!!
Joker lead a determined stand in one of the best defensive performances ever including a late multiblk on BOTH Claws! A panicked puppy grabbed the ball only to get smeared Mikey who scurried into the EndZone as the final whistle blew. 1-1 Game!
This was one of the most enjoyable matches as both teams really asserted themselves on defense. This was expected as both teams were short on overall speed and ballcarriers (he always has 2....... my ag 5 was gone and was left with three). Topper staying out of the game had me extremely worried especially with all the guard that the Claws have. Fortunately the new mummy earned his stripes and set the game up for the tie.
There will be a rematch.
