SWL Season XVI - Premier - Round 4

Back Breaka dominated this game, taking Kaiser Wilhelm off the pitch in the first turn, and then going on to kill two more rats (Otto von Bismarck when he blitzed her with a 3d block, and Carl Jung when he left himself a little too close to the line for safety). Other than that, the game was relatively uneventful. Some poor planning on our behalf gave the Vermin several opportunities to steal the ball, which they came exceptionally close to doing on more than one occasion. Eventually though, Loony Tossa gave in, and decided to do the dirty work herself, dodging through to scoop the ball out of a tackle-zone, and then dodge into the end-zone for a touchdown.

The vermin had no trouble responding with a touchdown of their own, bringing the scores to 1-1 at half time.

The second half saw the vermin take another quick and easy touchdown, taking the lead with a 2-1 score line. We responded by getting to work on removing some rats from the pitch (mostly unimportant players in the KO bin, but also taking out Carl Jung, and knocking out Matt Tinsen). The vermin never had a particularly good shot at the ball, and with made way for the rampaging orks, who brought the score line to a nice round two touchdowns a piece.

3 pts - #3 Matt Tinsen
Matt is clearly the star German blitzer. In this match, inflicting two casualties, along with several BHs. The whole team breathed a sigh of relief when Rib Smasha made a well placed foul seeing him safely out of the action (and into the KO box with several of his fellow rats).

2 pt - #4 Carl Jung
A menace in the first half, placing himself in position to threaten the ball carrier, and then scoring both of the vermin touchdowns. We've seen good things from this fellow in the past, but alas for the last time. RIP Carl.

1 pt - #7 Ferdinand Porsche
Played his role perfectly. Ferdinand was consistently placed in awkward positions that slowed us down on offence, made us think very carefully before throwing the ball around.

#1 Otto von Bismarck – Dead (RIP)
#4 Carl Jung – Dead (RIP)
SWL Season 16: Premier Game 4

A heartbreaker. Rat Ogre von Bismarck needed early apothecary attention to survive permanent serious injury, but died later, along with star Gutter Runner Carl Jung. The 2 points gained from the draw are no consolation.
