I was lucky where it mattered, but we both were. He broke armour most of the time in the first two turns, leaving me with a lot of stuns.
I'd really like to say "gg, but I played better" but it really was a total luckfest. Twice my opponent had a surefire touchdown, only to have poor luck snatch it from him, and then my good luck secured me the ball and the score.
I almost felt bad, but I've had waaay too much bad luck in my past few games, so I suppose this balances it out. 2-0 vs a much better coach doesn't happen very often.
Just wish I had got 10k more... I'd have been able to replace the niggler :(”

On offence, I got a lot of early stuns, and pushed up with the ball, forcing two of his players out of bounds. However, during this half he also caused 4 KOs and a BH on me, and I only caused 1 Cas and a KO (the second KO from out of bounds.
Critically, in control of the ball, I went for a hand off to my Flesh Golem who as two squares past the furthest that any opponent could reach.
The hand off was failed, scattere backwards onto my Ghoul who also dropped it and it scattered backwards again - into range of my opponent.
He then made two GFI, a 3+ pick up, a Long Pass in a TZ and the ball missed, but scattered around, and landed on one of his players who caught it so he could run it deep. Total luckfest there.
My drive, I set up down the wing, ond I need just a push on two dice to score a TD. Double skulls. My fourth for the half.
So clearly, luck favouring opponent overall.
Second half, I get a Blitz! which is fortunate, but my opponent gets a critical Pow on two dice on a Blodger and causes a KO (of course).
Then with no RR left, he makes a GFI and you guessed it, a one dice Pow on my ball carrier.
I recover the ball, but am he applies pressure. I just need a 3+ Dodge to get out of there with my Werewolf. Failed. Reroll failed. I can't get a 3+ and he gets the pows required, right...
He advances the ball easily outside of my range as I had pushed foward on an almost certain score (certain until your opponent rolls a truckful of pows) and fouled to pressure him into not stalling..
Next drive, Perfect Defence!
I go for the SPPs passing now. Again he comes forward, and with no RR once again, does a GFI and a one dice Pow.
He played well when he had superior numbers, but he only got the superior numbers from uber luck KOs, and only the first TD from a super lucky passage of play (the ball scattering backwards exactly 2 in the direction required for starters).
Anyways, no FF loss and some money, whereas my opponent got the niggle. He can have the win :D.
