#2 Tomato – Dead (RIP)
Once again I remember how it feels to lose only because of luck. I say lose (although I didn't even lose, only a draw) because my opponent played so badly it definitely feels like losing.

Before the game, my opponent apothed his block, frenzy CW because he niggled out - any seasoned player would tell you it's stupid, but it did work because my opponent only received 1 cas (BH). More about that later.

In the first half I got somewhat lucky with a blitz. Playing dwarves, tho, the blitz wasn't that useful. My opponent did 2 stuns in a row (on av 8 and 9), but that didn't really help him. I crowdpushed his beastman (KO) and fouled the aforementioned frenzy CW to KO too.

It then occurred to me, that my opponents gameplan was to toss the ball with a HMP beastman, pick it up next turn and score. Very un-chaos-like strategy, and any seasoned player will tell you, also stupid. He then tried to crowdpush my troll slayer (who had crowdpushed his CW earlier), but since it was 1d, rolled a bdown RR skull. That enabled me to put pressure on his ballcarrier, and since he positioned his ballcarrier so badly, I managed to score. With dwarves. In 3 turns. In my opponents offense.

Anyway. My opponent tried to put his plan into action for the rest of the half - that did not, however, work since I had a numerical advantage (1 BH (only cas of the game) and his ballcarrier in the backfield gave that to me).

Second half, his KO (from a foul) came back, and I was receiving. Kick scattered right next to sideline. I did some blocks, nothing happened. Then, his turn. He RIP's my newer slayer right away (no modifiers) and KO's my better slayer (again, no modifiers). I crowdpush a player of his, trying to even the player balance - it was a stun, however. Then, I pick the ball up with my ag 4 runner. Oopsie, scatters RIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE OF HIS PLAYERS. That was about the best scatter he could have had.

Lots of bad luck for me, lots of bad playing from him, and some good luck for me too, and I manage to wrestle the ball from him multiple times. It does not help that I roll 3 double skulls in a rather short time AND he pow's me on about every block. He also BH's my +AG runner (surprise - no modifiers) and KO's a longbeard from a foul. With no assists. And no DP. He did get caught, however. Even with a 2 player AND a huge strength advantage, he doesn't manage to score until on turn 15, and even then only with a 3+ 2d pow, 3+ 3+ 4+ 3+ play, which any seasoned player will tell you, is very probable to fail.

Game over pretty much, 1 turn to go for both players. I make a pass to get some spp's, and make a foul trying to get +1 to FF - KO. Of course. My opponent then fouls BACK (god know's why) on T16.

All in all, even amazing luck can't help you if you just play like crap. I hope we can get a rematch with even luck, someday.

Oh, and I forgot to mention. He had 1 MB (his mino), while I had 2. I also had 5 guards, while he had 1. We both had a DP. Despite my players having AV 9 and his having av 8, he still managed to do 3 times as much casulties as I did.

And he spent 4 minutes on his turn multiple times during the game.

Still, I'm happy I didn't lose. That would have been too much.
