#3 Sigmundr – Dead (RIP)
#12 Thorkell – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#12 Thorkell – Smashed Knee (NI)
Tough game.

Norse started in offence but suffered from brutal luck - 47 vs 90 at one stage as the Elves without Mighty Blow (vs 5) and 1 DP (vs 2) took more Norse players off the pitch than they lost over 5 turns!

The Norse lost the ball and conceded a TD, but had 11 vs 9 and 3 turns to score a reply.

With an amazing turn, the Norse KO'd four players to make it 11 vs 5 with 2 turns to score and the Elves did not have enough players to stop the score.

Second half saw the Norse with 11 defenders vs 8? Elves, but the lower FF Elves won a Get the Ref roll. No problems, the Norse could 2 dice Mighty Blow Frenzy Blitz their DP. Snakes on the GFI first hit and the would be blitzer gets fouled and killed instead!

The Norse struck back and got a KO and both teams looked for fouls, with the Norse eventually removing the Elf Dirty Player.

The Elves tried to run down one side, and it looked like they could set up a great chance of a score, they just had to put their Diving Tackle Blitzer as a screener to reduce the Norse to a one dice blitz. A 1 on the Dodge, and my opponent too quickly chose Pro for the reroll attempt instead of a team Reroll and he fell over!

The Norse got their two dice blitz on the ball carrier and caused a KO. It was now 9 vs 3 or something like that, and the Elves managed to strip ball once but did not have enough players to capitalise.

The Norse pushed forward with a cage attempt, but snaked the GFI to fill the fourth corner, giving the Elves a 2 GFI one dice Blitz which of course netted a pow!

The Norse with one reroll left got greedy and went for a one dice block to try and get a push and got a skull, using up their last reroll. Their Blitzer picked up the ball and ran towards the endzone.

The Elves needed 2x 2+ dodges to get a two dice blitz, and one dodge was a 1, using the team reroll. This then left them with no reroll when their blockless player rolled Skull + Skull/Pow and KO'd himself!

This left the Norse with a 2 dice blitz to set up a victory and they escaped with the win.
--------------
A very fun and lopsided game, with both sides having some runs of awesome luck.

My opponent got pows on every block to start the game on his way to 90% luck before one turn where he amazingly got two Pushes, then failed a GFI to use a team RR, sending his luck plummetting to 77% heh.

He also had amazing armour/injury rolls as he took out more players than I did despite not having Mighty Blow. However, I then got the luck with 4 KOs in one turn to gain a huge numbers advantage to set up an equaliser.

Second time, I again had some shocking luck with the snakes GFI leading to my player getting killed (if I made the Blitz and got a knockdown, hes DP was facing a +4 DP foul. To lose the Get the Ref roll was a but unlucky too, but these things happen.

However, the luck did swing my way in the end and I was able to steal the win.

Fun game pizzamogul, and I look forward to a rematch some time!
