“"Keep it professional" was coach Prasomchai's motto in the Sweethearts' 1-0 defeat of Zombietown. The Zons waited for their moment, struck when the opportunity presented itself to score, then shut the game down in a drab conclusion.

The game started promisingly for Zombietown as they won the toss and opted to receive. However, far from decimating the Zons team, as per THA's official training manual, the Undead blocks were ineffective (perhaps some of them aren't aware of the 'latest modern invention', the gym...), and no Zons were hurt. Coach THA tried a unique formation, which to his credit was brave, but on this occasion it failed to reap dividends.

Instead, the Zon blitzing corps saw a gap and turned over the football, at the same time escaping from the human sandwich they had made of themselves in carrying out the play! From then on, with their superior mobility, it was a simple matter to march the ball downfield for the score. Which they did.

In the 2nd, things seemed to be turning around. Zombietown started consistently putting Zons on the floor, and several players from both teams were carted off amidst the carnage. As for football, there was none of that to be found!

An amusing incident at this point was when coach Prasomchai was sent from the sidelines for abusive language, after a couple of his younger star players were, as he put it, "^%$#ing about too close to the sidelines, exciting the crowd with sensual gestures!"

From the stands, microphone in hand, coach Prasomchai ordered his girls to retain possession and basically run away from the Undead, which his team carried out to a perfect, if unexciting, standard.

Unlike the spectators, who said that if the girls did not look so appealing they would never buy another ticket, Prasomchai was delighted:

"We needed to WIN tonight to keep playoff qualififcation within the realms of possibiltiy. I don't care about entertaining people in this siuation! Next game will be more fun, as my players have picked up some new skills...you'll see!

But more importantly, as predicted, the Zons are back in form - confirmed! Opponents beware..."”
