#8 Aust Tidwell – Smashed Hip (-MA)
#11 Grak Mistwind – Smashed Knee (NI)
The match was well played. The Sweathearts were able to put the Warriors at a numbers disadvantage for the second straight game, and while the plucky D did pop the ball loose several times the Sweathearts resiliently recovered each time. We can't say much about the Amazon's D since I think they only were on defense for a single turn.

Malus Martel taught the Sweathearts the meaning of "Warrior Tough" sending both Angelina and Carmen to the injured reserve contemplate whether it was worth it to foul him four times or not. I suspect they will conclude that they needed to foul him more like five, six, seven times ; )

#10 Angelina – Smashed Knee (NI)
This was a hard-fought game with some surprising decisions by the Sweethearts.

In the 1st, after conceding the inevitable Warriors touchdown, coach Prasomchai seemed to forget any attempt to score and instead blocked the Elves into the dirt!

As coach Prasomchai explains, "This was the most important game of the season for us. A loss would be the end of our season! After we went down 1, I figured the best tactic would be to 'remove' sufficient Elves to allow us to score in the 2nd. And, of course, this would impair their ability to compete in their final two matches. That I judged to be a better bet than risking a touchdown against with cavalier play...as frequently happens to us in friendlies against Elves!"

Indeed, the Sweethearts did injure many Elves, and score in the final moments. But they were burned too - with Angelina sustaining an injury, possibly due to the tightness of her outfit!

It's amusing to note that the Elves injured themselves more efficiently than the girls could...then again the girls are more used to posing for photographers than dealing out dirty fouls!

As coach Prsomchai concludes, "This was a professional performance. We don't particularly like to foul, but our season required it. I wish S.Arson all the best for the remainder of the season, and think it's gonna be a close one! I'm pleased with the girls and think they've given us the best chance of making the top 3 with this result."

Only time will tell...

On a final note, key players from both teams showed improvement in this match, and we fully expect both rosters to demonstrate their newfound talents as the season draws to a close.

Well played to both coaches!
