“What a fine match!!! One of the best in my totally biased opinion.
The Regulars took the field in this big game with two heavy weights added to the roster. Malthor never tries to score. He loves to beat up your team and he rarely notices Break Tackle. So he loiters, leaving me the easy 2d blitz with Hthark, double POW, lucky ball bounce for Malthor, to one of his players who catches it.......
I keep up the pressure playing my usual ultra-safe style, rarely fouling to give me the coverage needed to force Malthor into a desperate pass to an empty square. I easily cover the ball and see the half out, knowing i will receive after the break.
The second half was a bit of a joke really. Malthor didn't try to attack the ball, or to apply any pressure whatsoever. He just tried to foul me out, which was never gonna work. He did get a lot of effective boots in but my blocks were hitting home by that stage, keeping the numbers in my favour.
In my opinion you can't try to outbash a bashy team if you want a better than even chance of winning.

I stand by my original report above. I don't believe i have spouted any lies...i have given my opinion on the match, but feel free to point out the "lies". I also think that I have not insulted you. Again feel free to point out the insults i have made and lodge a complaint. If the admins feel i have insulted you i will be happy to change anything they want me to.

I looked through every swl game you have played Malthor. In EVERY single one you don't win, you blame the dice. Now I am quite willing to admit that you are a better than average coach and that you you win a clear majority of games. But really? Always the dice? By your reckoning that is an insult. An insult to all those opponent coaches and their coaching strategies. In your own words, "Gloating is most unbecoming".”

Well it was going to be tough up against Hthark and Grishnak and 6? Mighty Blows and 3 DPs with only 1 Guard on my team, but it ended up a farce of a game. Opponent played conservative and safely, but got the benefit of most of the rolls, with 80% luck late into the first half and 68% to finish.
At half time, I made 0 from 2 KOs and he made 1 from 1. Second half, I was very unlucky to tie a Get the Ref roll with 4 higher FF. Then the dice went really stupid as I had 6 players knocked out and another 3 injured for the half and I rolled a truckful of 1s for my dodges.
With dice rolls like that against a much stronger team, it proved too difficult.

Match reports are not a place to spout lies and insult your opponent.
I never try to score and loves to beat up on your team? I have 41 TDs, try opening your eyes. I tried to score this game too, but had no RR left and couldn't make the 3+ dodge onto the ball. A pair of 3+s and three 2+s (not high probability) would have seen a score, but it was not to be.
I rarely notice Break Tackle? Yes, I was caught out by my Ogre opponent having not played them a lot. But Hthark I know has break tackle as I used Hthark a lot in my days as a CD coach. I saw you had a 2 dice blitz on that and other occasions, but did not care that much with all my AG4 nearby.
My team was outclassed so I was playing a delaying game in the first half and waiting for the chance to break out, but you got a crucial stun on my Blitzer on Turn 6 which made it hard. I was keeping my players in tight early on to make it harder for you to mass foul me back.
Second half, I had given up pretty much after you started to clear my players and Hthark had the ball. What was I going to do with 9 players with two of my best players out and only 1 Guard vs your full strength squad? Soon 8, then 7 then 6 players as you KOd everyone you touched. By focusing on the fouling, I kept taking some of your players off to reduce the harm you could do to my team to protect them for the start of the next season. Until I got hugely outnumbered, I minimised the players you could mass foul. By 4 turns in, it was over as you had taken out 5? players.
In my opinion, you should expect a better than even chance of winning when you have 2 Stars, +20 TS, 5 Guard vs 1 and 5-6 Might Blow vs a pretty undeveloped team with .
Don't make negative remarks about your opponent's coaching strategy when they do not say anything negative about yours (saying you played safe is no insult). Gloating is most unbecoming.

I was going to PM you DC and say that although we disagreed, respect re your first EDIT, you simply stated you stood behind your position without escalating.
Now more lies. I haven't looked at all my SWL matches where I have not won, and clearly NEITHER HAVE YOU. I only looked at two and the second did not have a match report at all. Get your facts straight.

Final - I had a look at some of the other reports you allegedly read, and sure enough, more lies from you. I comment on the luck in some of those games, but I do not always blame the dice. Conversely, I looked at some of my victories where I also say I got the luck to get the win. The small amount of respect I had for you is gone. Keep gloating and keep 'not being able to resist' to your heart's content.”
