“A brand new season and the Woodies are looking forward to having a breather from the big boys in prem.

Management have decided not replace player coach Dammo who died during the last game of season XIX and so the WDDs go into this season without anyone at the helm. This lack of leadership could cause some problems during the season and if this game was anything to go by the Men of Wood will not have things all their own way.

Mr Murray and Van B were running the show on offence and they never looked like letting the Bezerkers near the ball. Van B thourght a couple of monster passes to give TDs to Toshiba and Crowlockylockville.

Defence was a very different affair however. The Norsemen played a very solid game and really brought back the biff. Einarr was always going to be a trouble maker but the Woodies had not counted on his shear determination. Everything the WDDS through at him bounced away like he was made out of iron! The damage he was causing really affected the moral of the Elves and by the end of the game they seemed more conerned with getting out of the way than playing Bloodbowl.
He was well supported by Nicroff who also played a near flawless game. And despite the Berserkers being written off at the start of the game they were unlucky not to come away with all 5 points. Nerves finally got to them and the winning TD went begging with some poor ball handling right at the death.

3pts: Einarr - As stated above this guy was a menace. He is big strong and threw a lot of punches. The Woodies could not do anything to keep him down.

2pts: Nicroff - Managed to run the Norse offence smoothly. Never once looked like giving the ball away.

1pt: Gliunnarr - Adds some much needed speed the Berserkers attacking plays
