Tvarn, the great God of the North, was warming his hands this day, sending sheets of icy frost across the face of the world of men. The norsemen smiled as the elves struggled to maintain their graceful manners, entering the field from the frozen dugout. These Elves would learn how Bowl was played in the North...

The game started well enough, with the Bearskins marching in a pack down the left flank for a casual opening score. Little did they know that this would be the last time any of them would touch the ball again.

Luck wasn't with the Northern Warriors and their fighting form was in sorry shape as the Elven offence broke them up on their retaliatory drive. The score level at the break, our boys were starting to look slightly the worse for wear.

You know when it's cold, and you hit yourself in the hand with your warhammer..?

Starting the second half, almost none of the injured Norsemen could muster the strength to return for the second half. Two more of their number were on their way to the KO box before the ball had even landed from the kickoff and the match was pretty much decided then and there.

The elves were very reserved in their sledging and could have taken the opportunity to make much greater mockery of the few Norse opponents who spent most of the second half on the ground. Perhaps good manners kept their tongues or maybe they merely did not possess the vocabulary...

The Match ended 2-1.

Kori Manbiter learned to Dodge.

Great Game, Flo. Champion effort and champion attitude! You'll get yours in round 12 though, don't you worry none... :)

The Shining Forces first encounter ended in glory for the champions of good, but not before a fercoius battle aganist some tenacious norsemen.

The Force arrived at the frozen battleground primed and ready for action. Head coach/wizard Astral reminded the boys (and girls) that the days encounter would be abrutal one, they were meeting the feared Tvarnholm Bearskins, a team steeped in the ways of chaos.

The opening kick went to the Bearskins and they marched downfiled for an easy score, Osvald the Axe lobbing the ball over the helpless SF defensive line into the waiting arms of Kori Manbiter, who goosestepped his way into the endzone. The SF first drive was a disaster that some how ended in a score, Chester took the ball at midfield and was driven back deep into his own half by some stifling defense. With time running out he made a break up the rightsideline and handed off to Kiwi who rumbled forward over the frozen tundra. A desperate Osvald slipped in the trecherous conditions and kiwi managed to keeo his footing and score right on half time.

The second half was a strange affair, the norsemen apparently ate some rotten oranges at half time and when play resumed half of the team had to return to the dugout. The depleted norsemen tried valiantly to stop the Force but it was to no avail as they held onto the ball for most of the half and Thrower Bowie walked in the score just 1 minute from full time.

Thanx go out to the Norsemen for fighting bravely and thier valiant coach Twahn for a well played game :)
