“Lustrian Challenge Qualifier X match #1

Honestly, I thought this game would be a walkover with my 4 dps and 8MB vs 0dp and 1MB but I ended up relying a lot more on luck than I wanted. First half I receive but it was a disaster as I couldn't knock anything down. What was worse was that the ball was stolen and I could've got 0-1 behind (didn't happen thankfully). We went into second half without much damage done.

Second half, they receive but I get Blitz! and slowed them down quite a bit. With my team locked down and the ST5 BT bob getting the ball I thought it was pretty much over - a handoff to a blitzer and I'd never have chased it down. The bob wanted to score himself and it gave me a second chance to prevent the TD. By now, Optihut's dice really sucked so that helped me out quite a bit as well. We go into OT with 3 DPs sent off.

OT starts with me kicking... but once again I get a Blitz! in my favor. This time though my punches land hard and I remove a few scoring threats - I allow a few players of mine to get crowdpushed as that would buy me some time to reorganize. Finally we stopped their drive entirely and force a cointoss. Optihut went for the TD by tossing the ball to the ST4 lino (fails the catch). Goblin picks up the ball and the last blitz on the ball failed on the gfi giving me the win.
