The girls won the toss, and elected to receive. We just figured that we'd better get our hands on the ball while we still had the players to do it! With 11 players vs a team with a few mb and tackle players, and 3 spares, we figured it wouldn't take too long before we started to run out of players. How wrong we were...
It turns out that someone (can't mention any names of course) snuck into the bandit's hideout, and made some 'adjustments' to their armour. By the time we were half way through the first half, there were only 4-5 of them left on the pitch (3 injured, and several KOs). Knowing that they had plenty on the bench, we decided to stall it out, and make sure that we went into the second half with a lead.
Half time score: 1-0
Now, for the second half, numbers were pretty even, I think we were down slightly, but the good referee had done his job, and sent out 2 of those dirty humans in no time at all. So, with the numerical advantage once again, we began to close in on the ball ... too slow to get to it unfortunately, and Ando sent it upfield to Wozza. Things didn't seem too bad though, with Hed Splitta in range, and just needing a little help to clear a TZ, it looked like we'd be able to secure the ball pretty well ... not so - Skull Krusha bounced right off of Matty's helmet, leaving Wozza completely open for an easy touchdown.
Fortunately for us, there was time enough to go for a second touchdown. Skull Krusha, trying to make up for her earlier mistake, collected the ball, and headed upfield. She made it most of the way there, but was eventually taken down by Davo. Fortunately, in the nick of time, Spine Klubba was able to collect the ball, and push her way through to the line for one last touchdown.
