“SWL Season XXI - Southside Stone Smashers Conference League - Round 7
This final round of the season had quite a bit riding on it - eagle009 hoping to ensure safety from relegation, and me hoping to take out 2nd place for another shot at Prem.
The elves, unfortunately for them, were sorely outclassed. Without a single tackler on the team, it was always going to be a tough ask for them to get the ball off us (once we picked it up that is).
The first half saw the elves receiving, but despite their agility, a failed catch (in a TZ) left the ball on the ground. We got stuck into them pretty well, and despite inflicting just the one casualty, there were another 5 elves in the KO bin by the end of the half. Needless to say, once Skull Krusha got her dirty little hands on the ball, she wasn't going to let go (though she did try to show off a little, bouncing the ball off of her teammate's head). With perfect timing, the cage reached the end zone for a touchdown in turn 8.
Half time score: 1-0
The second half saw us receiving. With no real rush, we secured the ball, and set a cage. The girls could do with some work could have been done on their ball handling skills, but they did eventually secure the ball, and scored fairly comfortably in turn 6.
With just 3 turns to score in, the elves were rushed as well as being outnumbered. We covered them reasonably well, and came oh so close to scoring a touchdown, but Rib Krakka, rather clumsily dropped the ball in the end zone instead of catching it.
Full time score: 2-0

Despite our putting loads of pressure on him, he succeeded in escaping our clutches in the first half, unfortunately though, the pass was dropped.

Most blocks for the team. Not that they did a huge amount, but you have to give these points to someone!

This fellow managed to get in the way a few times. Never quite succeeding in what he really needed to do. Guard is always handy.

The 2nd half went much the same way as the elves scampered about the field tryin to work out a game plan. After brushing off a few elves the ball was guided into the endzone. It was time to try and save some pride. Excite grabs the ball and lurks in the backfield as the remaining teammates dodge and fend for position upfield. Hed Splitta spied her chance to get in the way yet again and dashed downfield and checked Excite. Needing a desperate dodge to get away from the diving tackle coach eagle009 directed players to setup first so the reciever could actually have a chance at recieving the ball. Unfurtunately trying to guard his teammates Head Stompa sticks out a foot and trips Discomfit running past. Excite Trembled almost immidiately still deep in the redzone surrounded by angry ugly orkan ladies. He didnt have time to tremble long as he was smashed to the ground. The ball scoped up and lobbed to a reciever in the endzone.
All elves walked away. Heads lowered. Still unsure whether the last td was scored. It didnt matter. They had been outclassed in every aspect of the game.

3 pts. - #6 Hed Splitta. Always spied an oppurtunity to thwart the progress of my team. With Diving Tackle she proved to be a pain i couldnt get rid off all game. Also took the pleasure of knocking 2 elves out during te game.
2 pts. - #4 Head Stompa. From the first turn this lady was a handful. Using her standfirm skill to position into places no lady should be. She also threw the most blocks for the team. Furtunately for the elves only rewarded with 2 ko's.
1 pt - #10 Leg Breaka. Thwarted any hope of a td with great interference play deep in her own half.”
