Congrats to Azure for a well played game. He really gave me no quarter and I believe I suffered the repercussions due to his frustrations from the game against his previous opponent in this tournament who didn't follow the rules.
The immediate death of 2 key players left team Thunder Kiss stymied and couldn't really do much else in the game. With 1 reroll for the match, double skulls seemed to pop up all over the place.
This team will rebound, and though we lost 2 players permanently, we added Logan to our team thanks to his demise on the pitch for Boneyard Bandit. Hopefully we get a chance to redeem ourselves in the Orcland Wooden Shield tourney in November.”

The game was all but decided in the opening quarter. We received the opening kick and knocked down both flesh golems that were on the LOS...then fouled one with our dirty player for a RIP and no regen. Blood drenched the grass. On our second turn, Hammer slammed the block werewolf to the ground - for a RIP. And yet more blood drenched the ground. By turn 4, a wight had been badly hurt (failed regen), a ghoul was SI-missing in addition to another wight KOed. The remaining werewolf did his best under harsh circumstances - killing Logan our zombie (failed regen). With 5 of 8 position players out for the necro team, it was not much of a match. We made the rolls and grabbed a 2-0 halftime lead.
The blood abated in the second half with the only CAS inflicted being regenerated. However, with so many players out, we used numbers to close every opportunity the necros attempted to create and the result was a solid victory to win the tournament.
