The third match of the season for the Double saw them playing another Ex-Premier Champion. However as in the first two games this season the opposition were recovery from some brutal beatings.

Even with a 15 man roster the WDD's we left with only 12 players (and that was oly after SDK was brought into the team for his debut). Smoker J was called in for Jury Duty, Rus Love age was catching up to him and Big Gay Al was still injured from last week. These abseentees coupled with the enourmous bull Cap'n Crunch meant that this would be no easy game.

Things got of to great start for the Woodies as Cap'n Crunch could not quite pick the ball up due to the pouring rain. Crowocklockville and Le Franky darted through a gap cleared by The Big Man.
Neil George Wallington and Philberto had been given the Orders to stick to the Revenge's star bull like his shadow. This managed to delay the Cap'n long enough for Le Franky to get away to a protective cordon of Woodsmen who escorted him towards the Endzone. The Woods held the ball up for a few minutes and then Brown Fish crossed to give the boys a 1-0 lead.

With the rain still tumbling down and Cap'n Crunch still struggling to get the ball under control, the Double managed to get them selves set on defence and keep their lead into the halftime break.

WIth a 1-0 advantage and recieving in the 2nd half the Woods were in the same position they were in last match against the Orks. Once again they got complacent and almost threw away the game. G.I. Leafy tried a little showboating which was always going to be risky given the weather. The ball was lost and a big scrum formed in the middle of the pitch. It was no surprise that the only player that could get the ball free was that monstousity Cap'n Crunch. He then managed to shake of Neil George Wallington (with some help from Tony the Tiger) and steamrolled forward in an attmept to even the scores. Le Franky tried to knock him over but he only bounced off. Things were getting pretty tense as the Bull was taking his last couple of strides with Philberto harrasing him each step. Finally just when it looked like no one would stop him, Cap'n Crunch got tripped over trying to shrug off Philberto. The Woodies cleaned up and held on for a 1-0 Victtory.

Twahnlows

3pts: Cap'n Crunch - Even with constatn attention from the 2 Woody Catchers he still managed to almost steal the show

2pts: Lucky the Leprechaun - His tackling abilities made him a constant menace. Also chimed in with a casulty

1pt: Sonny the Cuckoo Bird - Like Lucky, Sonny always got in the way and it was never really safe trying to clear him away.

Cheers for the game Ansalon, i am glad i did not have to play this team when they were in their peak!
