NBFL - Week 1:

After a successful preseason, it was time for the big games and right off the bat we get Dallas Peacegirls - a brutal teams. We took the opening kickoff and drove down the length of the field...several KOs in our favor - however, the mummies were breaking armor on our lizards left and right. We scored to go up 1-0 and kicked off. Time was short and the Khermi pressed forward, but we stopped them cold as they tried to bull their way into the endzone.

Again we kicked off to start the second half, but now we were playing down players and soon it was even more as 3 more players were BH'ed quickly and 2 more were KO'ed as the half wore on. The Khermi kept all 11 on the field...and it looked tough for the raptors until break tackle came in handy and on the 3rd 2d block against the ball carrier (a blodger) we got the POW and sent the ball squirting out...only 1 turn left and the Khermi needed a 1d block (got the POW), but needed a pickup...but the Blitz-ra was looking up at the endzone and fumbled the pickup...and the game was over!

A tight game indeed, but a good start to the NBFL season for the Raptors.

Wonderful game. Super play. Congratulations!

I really enjoyed this one- lately I have been on FUMBBL much less, and it was nice to log back in to a real heavy clash.

Looking forward to the next one! Good luck dude

[EDIT] After a good night's sleep, it became apparent that I did not use the right formations on my 2nd half drive to the endzone. The standard fare just don't work against Lizards! I would have been better served to spread out the attackers and pin the Sauruses, then gfi with ther Blodger. Then, a Blitz with a Skink on a Blodger would have been needed, or else I would have the chance to Blitz for the score, needing a knockdown.

And on defense in the first, when you switched flanks, I should have kept my 3 positionals deep rather than rushing at the ball (since you could easily Dodge away anyhow).

Well, it's nice to learn something from each game. Don't get me wrong, you fully deserved the win- I am actually confirming that with reference to things we did not perform in an optimum way, rather than reference to *luck* ;)

Until next time! We will try and be that little bit smarter in the rematch! Overall, nice to play you and be so involved in the strategy!
