The game had not gone well. The crowd being mostly human - what else in Brettonia - had invaded the pitch, taking out Angel before the ball had hit the floor. That coupled with his player's, especially Kalzigar's, inability to perform the easiest of tasks, the blitz and timely re-organisation of the oppositions front line made the 1st half an absolute disaster. The other kin had been well drilled and their ability to anticipate his players early moves made him wonder if there were powers back home who wanted his expedition to fail.
"Well atleast the 2nd half went better, aye Eldroth", he said through gritted teeth.
"Yes my lord" Eldroth withered.
In truth he had worked harder than most of the others in the 2nd half, to rectify his earlier mistake. A superb diving interception stopped the other kin in their tracks and eventually lead to the 3 td. Eldroth knew this saved him a taste of the cat.
"But our defence had them contained. They were going nowhere. They were stuck between us and the crowd, so was it as good a move as he had been credited", thought Baal.
"May i retire now sire", Rel Veilak begged, wincing visibly from the still bleeding scabs on his back, caused by the cat. He had not contained the kin in the dieing seconds and had paid for it. The blood on his lips was testamony to that.
"Aye. Sleep lightly Rel", cursed Lissa. She was new but was as merciless as her dead sister. Baal liked her and the taste of her, just like her sister.
