“SWL Season XXII - Premier League - Round 6

This was one hell of a brutal match for the elves. After their round 2 match against the Woodies Double Double, the girls were pumped to deal out some real damage to the evil gaulish elves. It was on from the start, with Hed Splitta and Leg Breaka arguing over which of them was going to bag the most elf heads. In the end, they both lost out on that front - Leg Breaka injured an elf in turn 1, but after that she only got one more block in all match!

The early damage allowed us to force an early touchdown in turn 4. From there, we were able to equalise fairly comfortably, without the elves getting a proper shot at the ball (other than Polysyllabix who ran out in front, caught the ball, and promptly received a boot to the head).

Half time score: 1-1

The second half became even more one sided, with a touchback, and then playing a safe caging game, the girls stalled, and scored in turn 8. There wasn't too much to see, except for a couple of rather brutal fouls (when Catastrophix fouled back after the first one, we could hardly let it rest)! The real star of the match was Face Maula, who's foul to kill ratio was a solid 1 for 1 (and they weren't just any old elves either).

This sneaky bugger made some exceptional dodges in an attempt at the ball in the second half. He didn't make it (failed a GFI for the blitz), but it was a damn nice effort!

He used to be a nice blitzer, the only tackler on the team. After he scored that first half touchdown, we wanted to make sure that he didn't do anything naughty in the second half. Unfortunately for him, Face Maula's idea of "making sure" is a little ... excessive.
