“Not the kind of match the Lightnings were looking for at this point. The Lightnings received first, and scored with relative ease, but trouble came when it was their turn to kick. Given a vulnerable ball carrier to attack, they failed to gain possession, allowing Reptile Rage to run home a touchdown late in the half. Worse still, Peaches made the mistake of uselessly standing next to a very dangerous Saurus and suffered a career-ending injury for her troubles, no thanks to the team apothecary, who had got himself drunk before the match and failed to help out.

The second half played out in much the same way as the latter part of the second, with the Lightnings putting the ball under threat for large periods of time, but never quite securing it.

RR scored late in the half, leaving the Lightnings seriously depleted, as to go with the loss of Peaches, Vinnie had been decapitated by a raging Kroxigor, and 3 other players were too injured to continue. They made a brave attempt at the touchdown, but a great kick from RR and the Lightnings' shortage of players meant that it never looked like working. 2-1 to RR.”
