“The first half started like a stock-standard orc v elf game with the Amazons slowly walking up the pitch, brushing off a rat tackle zone on the ball carrier each turn like flies off a an attractive ball-carrying turd. That was until turn 7, when Slawterra made a bold grab for the ball, dodging and weaving to smash the ball carrier inches from the line. Well, it would have been - if the big guy hadn't rolled double skulls after making the unlikely dodge + GFI. The girls skipped over for a TD, but Slawterra's action had inspired the team and the following quick snap on the kickoff saw the 2nd ever 1-turner TD for the rats.
The 2nd half started in the same vein with Slawterra taking the ball from the kickoff. A marvelous Rat Ogre TD was on the cards till a n00b slipup saw an overeager rat fail a 1D block before the rest of the team was in position. A few blocks and failed rat dodges later and the girls had the ball secured. From that point on it was more or less a repeat of the first half - minus the return TD in the final turn!

2 votes: Hed Splitta - Missed most of the first half but still managed a huge effort in the 2nd half with her nasty Diving Tackle, Tackle combo.

Winning the toss, the girls elected to receive. Securing the ball comfortably, the girls were able to advance up the pitch with relative safety. They did give away a few -2d blocks on the ball carrier, but were able to keep it fairly well caged, and scored in turn 8.
Thinking that there wasn't enough time for a counter-score, the girls set up. A poor kick (directly to a gutter runner in the back field), and a quick snap by Tunnels got them in position for a 1-turner - no chainpush needed! And in this they succeeded - equalising right on half time.
Half time score: 1-1
With the rats receiving for the second half, we were in a spot of bother. A touchback allowed them to give the ball to Slawterra ... ST5 ball carrier, not nice!
Fortunately, one of the rats slipped up on the line of scrimmage, skulling a 1d block, and as a result, giving us an immediate shot at the ball carrier. Quite a messy tangle of players evolved, but eventually, we were able to get control of the ball once again.
Not willing to risk the possibility of another 1-turner, the final touchdown was in turn 16, securing an eventual win over the rats.
Full time score: 2-1

Despite our best efforts, there was nothing we could do to stop him scoring a 1-turner. Let's just hope someone fouls him to death before we have to play the raiders next!

A menace to be sure. This rat ogre seemed to be everywhere - even when he wasn't blocking, he remained in control, and was able to move into rather irritating positions. And between the ST5 and his tail it was quite possible for him to tie up multiple players at once. (and see edit below)

Knocking out Hed Splitta in the first turn was a big help when it came to scoring an equaliser in the first half. That one action (though it resulted in him being sent directly into the crowd) is enough to earn him 2 votes!
Edit: I don't know how I forgot about that near brilliant move by Slawterra in turn 8. Better give him a second twahnlow vote!”
