2 Early blitzes along with the SI of one of my dancers right off the bat was disheartining, to say the least.

Play was pretty much just a scoring game, with both sides moving the ball back and forth across the field amazingly quickly.

A surprise when no apoh was used on the RIP of Queek, Skreekit's Swarm's claw stormvermin in the middle of the 2nd. This allowed Eriador's Finest both a player advantage and took away the largest threat on the field. Skreekit's apoh was not used by game end.

The game came down to the very end. First, a blitz on my player - any pow on 2d would have knocked him down. The block fails, and pushes my player in such a way that he only needs a single dodge to score. Dodge fails. Skaven pick up the ball and attempt a long pass to a Gutter Runner deep in my half. Pass succeeds, but catch fails. My player picks up the ball, makes a long pass, succeeds, elf runs in for the win.

#2 Queek – Dead (RIP)
Well this indeed was a great match.

A loss that I am willing to accept for a number of reasons, mainly due to the fact that I was in a hurry to go about 15 minutes before the game ended, which rushed my turns a little. I put this loss down to a single dice block that should have never been attempted, or at least should have had an extra assist. I rolled a skull instead of anything but, which meant the re-roll I used for that could (and should) have been the re-roll I used to attempt to catch the said long pass to the GR deep in Eriador's half.

In the end, I chose not to use my Apo on the SV as quite frankly I didn't want to waste the attempt. SV are all well and good, and he had only gotten the claw from the game before, so it wasn't like he was going to be a star player (since it took him 7 games prior to get his first skill roll - too long for his first skill roll in my opinion). In the past my SV usually level up quickly, but for some reason or another it just was not the case this time around.

In the end a fair-and-square loss, with a bit of luck for AlStar to boot. I'd say considering AlStar's advantage I did extremely well.

Great game against a great coach! Rematch anytime.

GO THE SWARM!
