#9 O'Reilly and his Organs – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#9 O'Reilly and his Organs – Serious Concussion (-AV)
NWL Season 9 NEW Division

In the final game of the season AAR looked to finish their undefeated run against a second consecutive Khemrian foe in the Cursing Mummies. Fate seemed to smile on the Undead as one of the Cursing Mummies mummies seemed to be suffering from some recurring wound and a driving rain promised for much Khemri ball handling woes.

However, the rain quickly subsided as the Khemri kicked off to the waiting Undead. The khemri skeletons had a good day enduring many a mummy hit (no doubt they ve grown accustomed to mummy beatings during numerous team practice sessions). Meanwhile the Cursing Mummies frantically mashed zombies from the field. Only the rapid-fire spell casting of the team Necromancer kept the undead fielding a full team.

The hero of the game however was Zombie Pvt Pyle, whose pin-point kicking kept the Khemri offense buried deep in their own zone... forcing them to attempt an elf-like passing game that failed more often than not.

With some deft ball handling AAR was able to score defensively to seal the game in the second half despite the impressive blocking effort of the Cursing Mummies.

Good game to coach Dex, we shall meet again.

AAR took little time to celebrate their winning of the New Division, but rather complained bitterly about the one blemish on their record and began sizing up victims in the Vet Division for season 10!

Cursing Mummies rushed to finish their last match of the season before a rumored Ref strike halts play for 2-4 weeks. Needing a win for a shot at second place they put on a display of blocking that tallied 3 BH and 4 SI by the end of the match.

Unfortunately, Assault Armada Resurrected was able to regen the majority of their injuries, and put on a blocking display of their own. While they caused few injuries, they did manage to KO and stun many Mummies players throughout the match. This lead to them securing a 2-0 victory (scoring once in each half) and finishing the season undefeated in the New Division.

Cursing Mummies finishes their inaugural NWL season with 3 wins, 2 ties, and 4 losses. That doesn't appear to be enough to move up to the Vet division, but they are spending the offseason skilling up their mummies and developing new strategies to use in Season 10 of the NWL.

Good game Bampf and good season New Division coaches!
