Sometimes you get games where you can't do anything right. And then, sometimes your opponents do. The dice were not kind to the Bifrost Defenders, and that is probably the single most important reason I came out with a win. However, there was a critical play where I feel that Ludovicious made a key mistake.

If you watch the replay, you'll notice that on his turn 4 of the first half, he is in a pretty good position to score. He blitzes with his ball carrier, a lineman, and knocks a blitzer of mine out of the way. He can get into the endzone with two go for its, but rather than try, he elects to set up for a defensive formation. Whether he was attempting to stall, as I originall thought, or was merely being cautious is not quite clear.

At any rate, he has yet another chance on his T5, when he can simply blitz at greater the one guy I managed to get in his way during my T4. He hits at greater, and a POW would guarantee a touchdown. Even a push makes it so he can score on a 2+ dodge. Instead he attempts to dodge somewhere else on the field and fails, allowing me to hit him and get the ball.

Even though he was undeniably unlucky, sequences like this illustrate the need for careful consideration in the order of operations. I too am often deficient in this aspect of BB, occasionally taking actions that are not essential to my plan before those that are. Even when the actions are statistically likely, they will fail from time to time, and always represent something of a risk.
