SWL Season XXV - Snakefield Memorial Conference League - Round 3

Brutal norsemen... we'll be keeping an eye on these boys, and should they see fit to survive long enough to give us a rematch, we'll be out for revenge. Well ... as long as we remember that we're out for revenge - the ladies couldn't even remember that they were supposed to be orks this match.

We barely scraped through - 8 players was just enough in the second half. Let's just say that this game could have gone either way, and by half time, I personally was expecting a draw.

Now onto the twahnlows. We've got to give the votes out for the things they did well, and that was kill and main. It would be nice to give some votes to Boris, who made the effort of actually picking up the ball, but his efforts were overshadowed by an awesome display of blocking prowess.

------------------- Twahnlow Votes -------------------
3 pts - #9 Oleg Loliev
Killed two of our players, both in the first half. Fortunately, the apothecary was able to point of that Hand Bitah's so called "death" was actually staged. They put on a good show at least. Knee Snappa wasn't so lucky...

2 pts - #8 Samul Thorstenitz
For killing Skull Krusha, also in the first half.

1 pt - #2 Tormilev Hellski
Took out Elf Bruisa early in the match (a "Groin Sprain" apparently).

All I can say is that with 5 players in the dead and injured box at half time, and the apoth gone, we were a little bit worried about the second half.

#10 Tadle Dhalsim – Dead (RIP)
A fierce and great game, that was disappointing to lose. After the kick off result I elected to change my game plan, which was a good choice, as I got much closer to a win here than I would probably have with what I had previously planned.

The first 4 turns were like a dream come true, with amazing casualty roles and things looked very positive. However to their credit the ork girlies continued to hound my ball carriers and I could never settle. The last 2 turns got very desperate with both teams within scoring range. I think here I risked too much, and the Orkzons took it and went in 1-0.

Morley's didn't take effect in the 2nd half and the orkzons could field 8. My mighty blow deserted me during the 2nd half and slowly the girls pegged back to even numbers. Then Coach Laviak's better skill took effect and a second was scored!

A great game, that I think I lost due a little bad luck on injury and morley rolls and Laviaks better skill. Laviak also showed great fighting spirit to keep plugging away even though his team was disintergrating around him. I admire this the most in a coach, so duely deserving of his win.

Twahnlows

3pt #7 Roxy Lobba

Was influential on lots of important plays and played like an on field coach. Her influence helped with the game for the orkzons.

2pt #8 Nutty Chukka

The less influential of the 2 throwers. But both had great games, playing like an orc and a zon. Well done.

1pt #1 Skull Krusha

For having such an awful bad hair day. First picking up the skill 'duh where am I' and then the skill death! Better luck next game.
