“The last game we played was against Azure’s Woodies… and although we won that, clearing the pitch save the tree, it was us who came out worse for wear with our two best CDs mng for the game against the Orcs. Couldn’t get more than a BH on those elves.
This meant that we would face Nashwan Deluxe Mk II with only 11 men, and with 3 Handis to offer out, it meant we’d be lucky to field that. Hthark was called in.
The Handis were rolled it and it was more-or-less what we expected, “it wasn’t me” and “I am the Greatest” left us with 10 to start and a chainsaw on the opposition could reduce us by a few more if they tore into the Hobos.
An Apo’d CD RIP in turn one didn’t do much to brighten the prospect but we managed to hold off the initial Orc drive, Nobbla fortunately failing to break Hthark’s armour. It had cost us a BH Hobo, a ripped Hobo, and a niggled BC though.
It was left to just six other men in the second half to enable Hthark to get to the TD line unmolested by a green mob, and they held up well… my Troll being a pivotal road block and my backup BC clearing the way for it.
This was one of my most enjoyable games in WIL and a great opponent that made it very tough. Were it not for Hthark the game would have ended bad for us.
If losing a BC and Hobo wasn’t bad enough, my good BC got the MVP and naturally aged a niggle at 51spps… though leading the division currently, I think going up at this point (Potentially without Bulls, or rookies) could be a very bad move.
Zons next and another 3 handis to offer up with an 11 man squad… might be best to cut the losses and drop the niggled bull to reduce the handis… things were going so well too. :D

Definitely a deserved win for Sera here, I really enjoyed this match. Still, with the two heaviest hitters out the way in the league I am now hoping to consolidate Deluxe mk II in the middle tier (cue a severe mauling by some wood elves now leaving me with four niggles...). Oh, and commiserations on those skill rolls for Sera - a match like that deserved a +str, not a niggle ;) ”
