It was with mixed feelings that Real’s longest cup run in 4 seasons finally came to a halt.

The under strength Undead Horde faced Sartosa Pirates BBC, a team they had lost to once before in this very competition.

Sartosa Pirates BBC boasted a large and talented squad of squats whilst Real called upon the Count to even the odds, whom upon hearing the Dorfs were his opponent opted to don his special Iron Plate mail of Invulnerability +3.

Real kicked things off and found themselves bogged down quickly amongst the guard, failing utterly to utilise the width of the pitch with a heavy ensemble of Zombies forming the core of the team.

Soon enough, both Mummies and Karla Larburu found their way into the KO box, and uber Zombie Star Olson was seriously injured as Sartosa plied on the pressure.

The Zombies held the Dorfs up well however, and with the aid of the Wights the Count managed to slip through the defence and make a score… but leaving the Dorfs with time to level before the half.

Even with the Morleyed Running Star of the team, Ovur Trollslayer, on the pitch Sartosa wasn’t able to level the score as he got bogged down, and the short legged members of the team failed to run deep enough, the half ended a promising 1 – 0 to Real.

Second half, and , Ovur Trollslayer was on the toilet again, much to Real’s glee, although Karla still hadn’t recovered from the KO in the first drive… nor would he throughout ALL of the game!

Sartosa concentrated on one flank, sending the bulk of their men towards it. The Count managed to break the Dorf defence and harass the ball carrier. Sartosa suddenly changed direction, but without any real cover they soon found their runner smacked to the floor, with Count, a Zombie and a Wight close by the free ball, and only one Long beard in the same vicinity.

“This is the real weepy and like, tragic part of the story beginning O my Brothers and only friends.”

Ovak Orebearer shrugged off his marker and scooped up the ball. The Count blitzed at him, failing to topple him with the first shot, he took another and still the Dorf stood defiant, albeit precariously positioned now at the sideline. More Dorfs rallied to his cause, and he even tried to move the count despite odds not in his favour… still he stood.

All the Count had to do was push him into the Crowd, he hit the Dorf… and still he stood. Tiered of being prodded, and with time running short, Ovak dodged from his marker, handed off the ball to a fellow Dorf, who then tossed the ball down field to a waiting Long Beared, who then dashed off to the endzone. I’ll allow you time to reflect upon that … … … … … …

The score was amazingly tied and Overtime ensued.

Real scored, then Sartosa scored, all rather uneventfully and Real were glad to make it to the coin toss that they lost… the second coin toss loss in their career.

But still, a Quarter Finals finish, money for a new Ghoul, an influx of fans back at the Stadium, and even the most hopeless Mummies in the Old World finally on the path of enlightenment spells “Success” for this Premiership team.

A Friendly to come, then back to work!

===
This was a very enjoyable, difficult, game.

It’s clear to see that the Count made the difference for my team, without him I don’t think we’d have competed, and had the 6ds against that damn Dorf toppled him, or Sartosa didn’t have a momentary identity crisis and pull off the last minute Elf Ball then the game would likely have been won. But Sartosa had the ReRolls to attempt it, and they pulled it off.

A draw was a good result, and no perms were even better.
VGG Ebe, and GL against Goff!
