A painful game dominated by a turn 1 Get the Ref. Pretty much from the first kickoff, nothing went right. Everyone having guard means everyone can assist on the fouls, even when they are in tackle zones. When you don't have to worry about getting thrown out, that is huge. On the whole his blocks weren't that effective, but he breached my armor much more frequently than I did his. Almost all his guys have mighty blow, but he even caused one casualty with a goblin block.

The only shady thing is that after I simply pressed turn, he went and attacked one of my players who could easily have escaped had I moved. Of course he is entiteld to all the blocks he can thrown, but in my opinion that's a little low, especially since having a whole turn's lead on the ogres, the throwers could easily have stayed out of range.

In the end though, considering Get the Ref, his good block dice (despite several players not having block, I'm not sure a single of his turns ended early to any block), and a pitch invasion that took out a critical guarder on my drive, I was fortunate to get out of the game without permanent injury to anyone I care about. While I did suffer two kills, one was a simple 2 skill blitzer, and the other a goblin. The unfortunate thing is that I got virtually no SPPs and no money, which means essentially that the whole game was just a loss.
