“PBI - Playoff Semifinals:

A massive clash between Khermi (with Ramtut) and Chaos (with Morg and wizard). The stage was set and the Khermi received first...the claw/rsc chaos warrior was open to the blitz...but only a knockdown and the foul failed. A theme that would repeat itself - 8 dp fouls...and not a single KO or CAS as a result. We pushed forward, but the armor of the chaos refused to break and their dodging (right past DT) was amazing...as a result the ball was knocked free. With disgust the Khermi coach tossed down his clipboard and pulled out the elf playbook...Monty (AG 3) and Falcon (AG 3) picked up with slack with Broken Bone (AG 4) on the sidelines and Monty grabbed the ball, dodged and handed it off to Falcon - who raced into the endzone for the 1-0 halftime lead.

The few KOs woke up and the second half saw the chaos at full strength, the khermi missed 1 dp due to foolish ref. The chaos then went on a rampage, knocking out and injuring skeletons and mummies left and right. Even fouling with the eye on their dp for another SI...but the ref was blind to it. Outnumbered and the coach distracted by cool cloud formations...the chaos scored easily - killing Alice - a powerful mummy in the process.

The game went to OT, and even with smelling salts, the star skeleton (Monty - AG 3 sure hands) failed 2 KO wakeup rolls and he stayed out. To make matters worse, the chaos won the coin flip and decided to receive the ball. The situation was grim...kicking off...missing key players and the chaos still had a wizard.

Overtime however, quickly turned against the chaos team. They took out a few skeletons, but a slight misplay allowed a blitz on the ballcarrier by a mummy and just like that the ball was loose. Suddenly the chaos stumbled...a failed dodge early in their next turn (before standing up several players) and the khermi had the advantage...the wizard helped to pop the ball free again, but Broken Bone (AG 4) quickly got the ball back and headed upfield. The chaos tried to turn and engage, but they were just a hair too slow and with a final gfi, Broken Bone scored to complete the victory 2-1.

Good game! Not what I expected - as the chaos armor was simply amazing and their dirty player shined. Outbashed, I had to use the 2 AG 3 and 1 AG 4 skeleton to try to win it and they made just enough ballhandling rolls to win it. However, game could have gone either way. Good luck next season!”
