The Traumas were the beneficiaries of luck in constant medium-sized doses. Not enough to declare a total shafting, but definitely noticeable to everyone except Ed Hochuli's officiating crew. Every kickoff went the way of the Blunts (although a +7 due to FF differential did help). BFPB's went 1/7 on the first three sets of KOs rolls, and in general were affected by the sweltering heat more than the Traumas. Steel took it like a pro, actually complaining way less then he should have.

A good start to the new season and enough money for a junky wizard for the upcoming Orcs.

The NWL Black Fire Pass Blitzers finally made it to the Premier Division. Their debut though was less than a stellar performance.

Attempting to hold off the "other" Dwarf team, Blunt Force Traumas, the Blitzers were finding themselves losing players quickly. With 3 players knocked out and the heat picking up, the Blitzers were unable to stop the Traumas first driving score and took to the pitch down 2 more players, starting with 9. Still, they tried to fight back, but lady luck was not with them today, as she had already chosen her favorite in the Traumas.

The second half started out almost as bad as the first with Mean Jorg Green being sent off by the ref for kicking one of the opposing players while he was down. The Blitzers tried to score in the second half, but with too few players to hold back the other dwarves, it was too much for anyone to handle.

Congrats to coach Celas for winning the first match of the season and also for getting his name entered into the Blitzers Book of Grudges.
