Nuffle seemed to have decided to screw me over from the start on this one. The 4 first blocks all broke AV, and it wasn't until the AV break rate was 6/7 that he gave that up and decided to pursue other venues of torturing me. Like making my norsemen block like crap during the whole match. I racked up an impressive 3 double skulls in the first half.
The dark elves on the other hand was truly blessed. Dark elves with luck on their side is probably the best team in Blood Bowl and it was little the norsemen could do to stop them. Only Vulture's rather defensive playing style kept the opponents at bay. Not surprisingly they scored in turn 6 and as expected they got 3/3 KO's back while my KO stayed out.
During the 2 turn desperate equalizer attempt a dark elf intercepted the ball thrown towards my catcher, but in all honesty he wasn't in a very good position to score anyway.
In the second half my KO still stayed out and through some more lucky moves, aided by me double failing a GFI, the Death Blood managed to score again. On that offensive drive I managed to KO one of his player, which came back while mine still stayed out.
My 9 remaining players crowd the LOS to be able to put pressure for a comfort TD. The thought of Vulture getting a perfect defense runs through my mind and of course it also happens. Despite that I somehow manage to score the TD anyway, through some heavy sprinting by my catcher. Nuffle probably noticed my happiness, because almost immediately after Lill-Snorre broke his neck on a failed dodge.
Thanks for the match, Vulture. I told you I was going to get bitter in my match report ;)
See you around!”
