when you have me penned in and my options are "a -2d and maybe make some progress", versus "stand there and wait to get pounded next turn and not be in any better position because i haven't moved", yeah, it's reasonable to think that i'm gonna make that block.

i wasn't -trying- to insult you or complain about you in any way, i was just bemoaning the game itself. in fact, i -was- trying to compliment you on it seeming so effortless. the fact that you can take your turns so quickly and put me in such a bind that i had to try such desperate measures ... i'm humbled, and unhappy.

i'm sorry if you think i play slowly. i haven't played 5800 games. more like 58 (including playing table-top ~10 years ago.) i still have to think about what i'm doing.”
