“In an effort to get our win/draw/loss ratio back to evens we have spent all our money on the famous Ramtut III!! Lets hope it draws in some fans too! We are up against McAaberg's lizards who have in the past soundly beaten my chaos dwarves- our coach wants revenge!

Our handicap is Doom & Gloom, losing them 2 rerolls for the first half.

We set up 5 mummies on the line of scrimmage and they line up all their sauruses for a good old fashioned pummelling! But we didn't notice their block-frenzy saurus in the lineup, whoops. They blitz one of our wide blitzras out of the pitch and into the KO box! And then run their sidestepper up the line after passing him the ball with their super agi 5 skink.

We retaliate with a ramtut blitz that knocks over the skink with the ball and run a few players back to cover. They try and grab the ball several times but just can't make it with ramtut posing beside it and looking so menacing. In fact he is quite the menace, putting two skinks in the casualty box and smacking sauruses about left right and center. With 3 turns to go we finally free up space for our +agi skeleton to grab the ball and start sprinting upfield.. and with doom and gloom meaning the lizards are out of rerolls they fail a simple break tackle blitz that would surely have knocked him down! They get a tackle zone on him in the last turn but he dodges away with ease to score the touchdown!

They have 5 saurus, their kroxi and a single skink for the 2nd half vs a full complement of khemri- and ramtut knocks out the kroxi with the opening block! We charge forwards and despite some impressive blitz action from the lizards taking out our ball carrier (into the BH box!) we rule the pitch and eventually bash them out of it, grabbing the ball with a blitzra to score on turn 6.

They try and blitz through with a saurus after a touchback but he's all alone and we are able to stop him in his tracks.

Great, fun game McAaberg as ever, even if the numbers were on my side this time.”
