“This was a real fun game with a bit of everything thrown in.
Thanks to Richie for the game, he got a dud handicap, but the bad press may have come into it when the crowd BH my rookie catcher after a push.
I got a blitz too but wasnt able to turn the pressure into a TD and RIchie manfully coached out of it and into an easy TD.
The WE's again couldn't throw tonight, missing out on a Chainpush 1Turner with a fail on the 2+ and then again to let Richie have a glimmer of a miracle play. Luckily wasn't to be and I held on for a good win.
Fartlows:
3: #1 Brian Potter - kept the team in the game with some briliant passing plays and almost puled off a miracle at the end. He went and rolled +AG post game to justify the 3 points.
2: #11 Young Kenny - did most of the important stuff and was always either near the ball or harrassing my guys with the ball.
1: #5 Keith Lard - put the hit on, put the hurt on. Topped the team for blocking and cas. ”
#2 Holy Mary – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST) #12 Max Bygraves – Smashed Knee (NI)
“What he said. Good fun game which could nearly have swung my way at the end but wouldn't have been deserved. Dodgy Eric's cut-price armour was our undoing again as players dropped like flies while despite getting the ref we couldn't really hurt the woodies.
Twahnlow's:
3:#1 Bastion Ape - countless key blitzes to open up the defence and also wrestle the ball back when the rest of the team we're doing their best to throw the game.
2:#7 Red Sky - sent off when the red mist descended late in the 1st, but not before dishing some serious pain with his dirty punting
3:#4 Shadow Hand - who needs positionals when you've got a lino prepared to pass, rush and block like a pro?”
