Handicaps were Doom & Gloom and Duh, Where Am I (on Lyhtypylväs). Both teams had wizards (mine was left unused) and Princes had also hired Hthark the Unstoppable.
Because of Doom & Gloom, we started out with only 2 rerolls. That didn't hurt one bit as Nuffle clearly liked our team today. We got two CDBs (with guard) out in the first turns of the game.
First half of the match was more or less a fouling war. Sadly our gobbos weren't fully up to the task and the only permanent injury was caused on our team. Apo was told to go and heal him but he went on strike.
Despite all the booting we were able to push slowly forward setting up a cage 7 squares from the endzone on the 7th turn. With a chainpush by Lautamies, Lyhtypylväs was able to score 1-0 with a dodge and two gfis.
Second half we got our rerolls back, but our ogres started out by boneheading. Instead of us getting a 2d blitz on the ball, one side was left open and Princes quickly pushed through. They scored 1-1 on their 3rd turn which left us with 6 turns to score.
Again some lucky armor and injury rolls helped us get more room on the pitch, but their st5 break tackle bull blitzed the ball free and caused a world of trouble on our caging. Still we were able to recover the ball in the 7th turn of the game, standing still in our own half, but in TTM range.
It was then up to Kenraali to throw Lyhtypylväs for the 2-1 score.
A nice game, Kamahl said nothing even when the dice were so badly against him. With a bit more even dice I'm sure the game could have ended for the chaos dwarves (not that I'm complaining one bit :).
