“13th Match vs Black Dagger (Dark Elf). Playing the unlucky number against Dark Elf brought some chills to the Alps. Everything pointed out to be unlucky in the first seconds of the game. Their drive started with a rock on Bart's head (BH), then they Ko'D Belvi II and SI Job, which our doctor used his only supplies on. Job luckily withstood the foul that followed but things started to look bad. With not much players on the pitch the morale to defend was low. The Alps took some effort but in turn 4 it was 0-1. The coach saw their disgruntled faces and knew he had to do something. He called teh group to together and gave a magnificent speech about how evil Dark Elves are, how many humans were killed by their sinister actions and told them to turn their disappointement into anger and eagerness to win. The elves kicked the ball and Klaas blitzed one KO, another got stunned and the Alps quickly advanced into their half of the pitch. A little too ambitious because one of the elves managed to slip throught the defence and rushed towards Jaap, who was alone. Matthijs proved to be a good recruit and before the evil elf could even touch Jaap he got stunned. Jaap threw the ball to Steffan, and the Alps started a practised manouvre to the other side of the pitch. The elves quickly formed a line in which a rumble followed, no holes were to be found instantly so the Alps had to withstand another turn. They did, and now Steffan saw the hole in their defence, he rushed through but slipped on the TD line. Luckily the elves were too slow to react and Klaas who was tackled his opposing elf grabbed the ball to equalize the score just beforethe end of the 1st half.
Spirits were high in half time. "We can beat them" Klaas said, eagerly, and the rest of the team acknowlegded. The instructions were to stall the winning TD as long as was sensible and then hope to hold off their drive untill the final whistle. The opponent kicked and the Alps quickly formed an defensive line in front of the thrower and hoped to lure some elves to tackle. But the elves too had lifted their spirits during the half, probably due to some evil drug, and the defensive line was about to break when Jaap called told the team to make the same manouvre as in their earlier TD. Now the held this posistion for some turns and Virgil was told to make a fake manouvre on the other side. But elves didnt respond and the defesive line was about to break when Jaap decided it was time. He gave the ball to Steffan who made the run of his life while Virgil joined him. The elves managed to reach him just before he could score but he dodged their tackles and made a very good 2-1. The elves had 3 turns to equalise the score. And the Alps braced to defend for the win. But the elves' spirit was very low. Davey managed to tackle their offense. "Now is our chance!", cried Klaas and everyone moved in on the ball. Soon the whole team was around the ball which was carried by Virgil and Jaap was told to run for a crippling 3-1. The dark elves couldnt make a good defensive line and virgil handed the ball to Jaap and he scored the 3-1. Cheering humans everywhere, the few humans who dared to visit this land where extremely happy and the elves showed their respect, by a total silence. A very nice and long awaited win. The fans will start coming again.
