“The White Lions came out in style for their third game of the season against King Norrs Hammers. The Norse were a slight favorite this game with the Lions Sneaky Team only being able to get them bad press as a handicap.
The first half saw the Norse move the ball forward a bit too quickly and leave their catcher open to a blitz which knocked the ball loose. There was a small scrum around the ball but the Lions were able to sneak it out and remove it to the relative safety of the other side of the pitch while they tried to wait out the clock. They walked in an easy TD shortly before the half and were enthusiastic about their chances for a quick score starting out the second to seal their victory!
However with the second half starting things turned sour quickly for the Lions. Their blockers consistently failed to knock any Norse on their rear ends, and the counter blocking started sending elves off in droves. All was not lost however as one single elf scrambled away from the pile in midfield to put himself in good position to receive a pass. He got busy talking to some ladies in the crowd though and when the pass came to him he fumbled it! There was a bit of back and forth around the ball but eventually the Norse gobbled it up and walked easily down the field against the 5 remaining elves only to drop the game tying hand off as the final whistle sounded.”
