Another match the Orphans didn't really look like they knew what they were doing. Actually the first one where they weren't outnumbered (that much) by turn 3 or didn't look especially unlucky in reasonable play. They simply suffered badly from ridiculous decisions or utter stupidity of their headcoach. He really must have done something else while his team got outrun and beaten up on the pitch by a bunch of rather determined Dwarves. The apex of stupidity was reached when instead of a blitz the Beastman carrying the ball, prefered to push the single Dwarf Runner aside and keep loitering freely 1 yard away from the Miners Endzone. (absolutely clear situation but I pressed the block instead of blitz-button :-() Needless to say the Miners exploited this idiocy to beat up the ball carrier into the BH-Box and used the remaining 4 turns of the second half to score.
Considering the rather strong defense and rather slow pace of the opponent Team a nearly sure win was turned into just another lost match.
After the match the Orphans headcoach was sighted biting some large chunks of flesh out of his own butt... wether this ability is a natural talent or some mutation received as a gift for his "accomplishments" remains unknown.

This game can be summed up well in two words: "Block Rocks"

Nearly all of my players had it and none of his did. His ridiculous skill rolls (both +St) made things tricky but you can afford to make some -2db blocks when you have block and he doesn't -and dauntless is great for that too ;). I really wished for Dodge when all those 1dbs were coming at me though.

We'll draw a veil over how he got the ball so close to my line in the first place...

Neither team sustained any serious damage so on to the next game!
