The Wanderers second game, and this time against the cruel and twisted elves known as the dark elves. Nightmare Creatures, black armour glistening in the stadium torches, looked fearsome. Their very nature, if you could call it that, brought out anger from the normal patient and quiet wood elves.

After winning the toss, and deciding to receive, Whippendell Wanderers made the most of their possession, scoring early in the 1st half through the fleet of foot Fei Redberry, after a flowing move.

This only made the Nightmare Creatures more angry. They came back at the wood elves, but try as they might they were unable to break through to complete a TD.

However, in the second half the Nightmare Creatures again had possession, and they dispacthed the wood elf TD scorer to the discomfort of the BH box. With some good defending from the Wanderers it took a good long throw and catch for the dark elves to equalise.

A riot then proceeded to take place, and it was deep into the 2nd half that the wood elves made a burst through the middle, only to be stopped at the last by some good defensive play, with the team witch elf snarling as she clung onto the ball. But all was not over. It could take one last desperate tackle from the wood elves, a pick up and throw to make it 2-1... the crowd was silent as the last block was made... single block.... reroll... push back!... And with that the game ended, and the Wanderers coach received a cheque for promoting "Mine's a Blood" thorughout the match!
