Unseen Hand started in offence, and struggled, losing their apoth and getting a player KO to be a player down. They were lucky not to get a player surfed on the first turn when they didn't notice a Frenzy Dauntless Catcher on the Tank Engine lineup... (I double Powed and didn't reroll it).

The Tank Engine applied the pressure, and got the ball free, but had their best scorer (Blodge Sidestep Catcher) BH. However it was enough to get a stop.

Second half, the Tank Engine were caught out by a Blitz! on the weak side (I shouldn't have had a weak side, but I was greedy). Unseen Hand made two one dice pows and 2x GFI (3+) in the icy conditions to score a TD and take the lead.

The Tank Engine were down a TD and kept the ball back, swinging it one way and then the other before getting a difficult late score (difficult as Thunder_Crack made more one dice Pows and lots GFIs - he did have one bit of bad luck though, rerolling a two dice blitz into double skulls on his Claw Tackle guy heh).

Well if not for the lucky blitz, this would have been an interesting battle for victory in the second half, but a combination of my greed in stacking one side, him getting the Blitz, and then making his one dice Blitz and 2x GFI score put me 1 TD down.

I can say he was lucky, but it is also my fault for taking the risk that he wouldn't roll blitz, and 1 in 12 it bites you in the ass like it did today.

On the other hand, I was also lucky not to take more than a BH and a KO all match.”
