“Fellowship of Mordor V - Round 6

If there were any doubters that these "Two Towers" team mates were going to go soft on each other then those doubts have been laid to rest.

Damatze made the mistake (in my opinion) of lining up his mummies on the los... As the Minions were receiving we put each one down and then gang fouled Mjamymummy to simply remove it from the pitch and make the drive easier. What neither team wanted was an SI - niggle that failed to regenerate!

The Minions collected the ball once the sighs of disbelief had subsided and began the slow push up the field. By turn 4/3 both WWoW mummies and wights were off the field... with MotS having a 10 players to 7 advantage. We even had time for a hand off from Quick Sand IV to Rotten Stench IV to skill up the ghoul... but the str4 Iron man WWoW ghoul would not go away... and we had to be careful not to get overconfident... but we managed to score in turn 8. 1-0.

The WWoW turn 8 passed without incident, and we were into the 2nd half.

The WWoW received and pushed up the field proning as many zombies as they could get next to. However the Minions were proving to be far more fearsome in their blocking... and by the end of turn 1-1 there were just 8 WWoW players left on the field.

This infuriated WWoW wight Nazgûl who blitzed Fetid Foulwater IV killing him instantly... with the necromancer deciding not to regenerate him. Fearless Iron Man ghould Gothmog also dashed into the back field of the Minions... but by doing this they left just 5 WWoW players defending the ball carrier... and the Minions started to press them.

WWoW mummy Khamul avenged his co-mummy with a straight rip no regen on zombie Hemwin (who had just got the 2spp he needed for his first skill!)... but the rest of the team faltered.

Despite taking down the ball carrier, the Minions could not get the ball to safety. Swamp King III, the minions mummy made up for the zombie deaths inflicted on his team mates killing (no regen) DP zombie Clyde. However ag4 ghoul Aslsas Revenge made a completion to the now free Gothmog and the ball was out of reach of the minions defenders... and he got away to score.

The match finished 1-1 with just 4 rips in the game... 3 non regen'd. Damatze has to hope he can gain enough cash to buy a new mummy for the Two Towers. Tough game and yet another draw between the two of us!”
